Balancing ceiling fan

Who knows how to balance a ceiling fan. I know you have to put some weight on the blades but my eyes won't go fast enough to see which one it is.

Hey, how's it goin'?
First off STOP THE FAN attach a small weight, hahaha
I use the kit that comes with the fan,,, a clip and some weights, one blade at a time.
If it is an older fan and no 'kit' I use a clothes pin, or some tape and a coin, place it on a blade and start the fan... decide if you are going to go to the next blade in front or the next blade in back, I use a small mark to name each blade 1-2-3-4-5 ect. find out which one (blade) slows the wiggle the most then work with the size of the weight that helps the most. You can also move the weight in and out on the offending blade to counter balance as well.
Good luck and happy fanning!

Make sure that all blades are roughly pitched at the same angle. Gently bend the fan blade arms to adjust. Next, take a quarter with a piece of double sided tape on the back. put the quarter on each blade and run the fan. Move the quarter from blade to blade until it smooths out. You might need to use a little more or less weight to get it right. Mark the blades with a pencil so you will know what blades have been balanced.

Good Luck.

Be sure to attach the weights very securely. It is unbelievable how many walls and objects you can hit with one weight if it turns loose.
