You might be able to accomplish that with a heavy duty 4 wheeled mower front end if its beefed up enough to handle the ATV's crunches. I would not try it for racing purposes but would try it for around the farm things.

20 years ago, there where commercially available kits. I don't know if you would be able to locate a new source, as 3 wheelers haven't been legally available for a while.

well Three wheels is all well & good but four is better. I think you will find theres no good way left to convert your old three wheelers. the fact is they are out lawed in most places by insurances & certain regs. here in the states I know the CPSC outlawed sales back in `86 so there are no new ones after that. the coversion kits were around for about 5 years after the ban and I haven't seen any since. your best bet would be to get some four wheelers just from a safety stand point. back here in Michigan you have to 16 to ride one leagally and certain insurances are void if they are found on the premises(AAA is one that I know). if you are intent on doing something you may find an older quad chassie like a 200SX or what ever suits your conversion needs and use the engine and drive line out of the 3 wheeler. just my $.02

My vote, not worth the danger. When a horse through me, the medical bills were over $40,000 ten years ago. An unlucky fall can cost you. Remember everybody hurt in an accident did not thing it would happen. I was very lucky not to be a quadrapleglic. I ride a four wheeler now, slow, with a helmet.

Instead of converting from 3 to 4, how about from 3 to 2 - ie. fat tire bike.

I drove Honda three-wheelers when I was a kid - they were very awkward to drive - and to be honest, the two wheelers were much more fun.

I have had 9 3-wheelers. They are what they are. Either you learn to ride them well and love them or you crash and hate them.

They are not near the technology of the newer 4 wheelers in the way of power or suspension. Converting one would seem pointless as anything beyond a lawn toy would be expensive.

If you have a 200 or 350X you may find a 4-wheeler frame that will accept your engine from the late 80's.
