Try Ebay for remanufactured ECM units.

ECMs are usually designed for specific vehicle(s) + engine + transmission + year(s) + model, etc. and they're usually labelled with a part number or code. You cannot just install any ECM and expect it to work.

There may be some crossover between "vehicles" - i.e. I believe some Ford Rangers are very similar to Mazda pickups, so it may be that they use the same ECM. If you can find internet info regarding your specific ECM by part number - it may show what vehicles and in what years they were used.

I don't know about fords but most older GM ECMs used a removable computer chip to store the calibration information, so they produced only a few different ECM models but a different calibration module or "memcal" for each engine/trans/vehicle combination. If fords of those years were similar, you may be able to find a junkyard ecm and change out the memory module. If you've got the thing opened already, this will appear as a chip or circuit board that plugs into a socket on the main board. Pry carefully with a small screwdriver to remove it.

If your ECM has a burn spot on the circuit board - its probably damaged. Perhaps the injectors are open because the computer is faulty.
