PTO connection woes

I have a fairly big Bushhog that has 2 spring loaded pins in the end of the PTO drive that affixes to the tractor PTO shaft. Both of the pins have to be depressed simoultaneously in order to get the PTO to slide onto the tractor PTO shaft. I find it almost impossible to get both pins pressed in and at the same time slide the PTO on to the tractor. Any ideas on how to overcome this small but annoying problem? TIA

In addition to the two spring loaded pins does it have a hole for a long cotter pin to lock it in place?
if so Id take one of the spring loaded pins off andf use a cotter pin t9o lock it on
I dont trust the spring loaded locks

Have you tried cleaning it well? My neighbor had the same problem with the pin on his bushhog and it was from grease and dirt putting everything in a bind. I cleaned it with carbeurator cleaner and oiled it lightly and it worked as good as new

Strap wrench? "C" clamp vise grips? slip joint plier etc.? Those are HD PTO connectors (and yeah a pain) must be a big mower, fold up wings?

I guess I haven't gotten into anything that big. One on each side for the groove, so they need to be pressed at the exact same time? I have enough trouble with the singles.
