Getting Grease/Grime out of Blue Jeans

I haven't found a laundry product yet which does so completely. What do others use?

Ken, on a previous job I would often get grease on dress clothes to the point it was very expensive attempting to present myself in a neat appearance. To get grease from white shirts I learned the following. Prior to washing, apply shortening (Crisco) lavishly to cover the grease and let it stand overnight. The grease will move into the shortening and you can take a butterknife an scrap the grease off. On a white shirt an oily stain will remain at this point. Then take dishwashing liquid and apply that to the stain and let that stand for a few hours. Now laundry as per normal. There should be no remaining evidence that the grease was ever present.

I have had tremendous success using Goop or GoJo hand cleaner. Very inexpensive and has worked wonders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have also used Dawn with stunning success.

Nothing works better on oil or grease in clothes that a can of regular coke a cola. Has to be the real thing. Not pepsi, or r c or any others. I know it sounds like kook job. But it will work.

My mom will agree with the coke deal. I used to 'tear down' carnival rides as a young man/kid. let me tell you this, green help always gets the grunt jobs of loading tracks, tubs, whatever is greasy! My mom always poured in a can of coke in the '(laundrymat only)' washing machine and she swears by it! I almost posted the coke thing but I thought we were the only ones that did it!
