4 Wheeler Atv

Need some guidenance.
Kaw 4X4 ATV stopped.
Not in gear not locked up as I can roll it.( - can't start it in gear).
No indicator lights when the ignition is turned to on position.
Nothing except the lights work.
Checked the battery and cables - fine, even charged the battery.
Acts like a dead short or the indicator module that tells the system that it is in neutral is not. How do you test this module? And where is it?
What kind of meter should I use to trace a broken wire or dead short?
Am I going the right direction or does someone have other thoughts on this?

#1. Check the kill switch to see if it's set to "Off."

Did you try starting it with the pull start? When you pull the starter rope, does the neutral light flicker?

have not tried the pull start.
The neutral light does not come on when the switch is turned to the on position.

This might have a fusilbe link between the ignition and the battery. Any voltmeter or even a 12 volt test light will help you track down your problem. Good luck.

What model KAW? My 650 has a fuse under the seat separate from the other fuses that has something to do with the ignition. It is concealed in a small fuse box that keeps it clean.
