Are the leaves still green after freezing??

I figured it was a holly of some kind but the flora book of hte dunes only mentions a kind that loses its leaves for winter. These are clearly evergreen.

Ok...I figured it out!!!!

Mahonia aquifolium!!! I am SO good.


I don't know why I didn't figure it out sooner, other then the mahonias on the west coast were a lot taller lol.
