An impossible ID?

I can't do pictures, but any kind of help at all would be greatly appreciated. I can't even figure out where to start with this. In my yard is a shrub or bush, or maybe a small bushy tree. The leaves started off a purple ish plum color, then it was covered in tiny red flowers, and now the leaves are mostly green, tinged with red, and there are tiny red or purple berries on it. I thought burning bush, but I looked that up and its not. With no pics, I'm sure its almost impossible, but does anyone have an idea? Just googling through trees with purple leaves isn't getting me anywhere fast.

What shape are the leaves? How many petals did the flowers have? Are the leaves on the opposite sides of the branches or do they alternate?

This all fits the description of Red Robin Photinia so it might be that. Try googling images of photinias, in particular Red Robin which gets the red flowers and red or purple berries and see if that's what it is. Most other types of photinias have white or pale pink flowers but all photinias have the leaves that change color from red to green like that.

The leaves are pointy ovals, maybe 2 or 3" long. They look like they grow in small clusters. I don't remember how many petals the flowers had but they looked similar to the Red Robin Photinia , but the rest of it doesnt look right.

Does it have thorns? Is it evergreen?

Purple smoke bush doesn't produce berries so that's out.

Purple leaved sand cherry or barberry? I doubt it would be ninebark.

No thorns that I saw, It's not evergreen, and it is similar to the sand cherry, but that has pink flowers. I still have to google barberry and ninebark. The trunk looks very similar to cherry in texture, but gray. Ok, It's not barberry or ninebark, I'm still trying to find a better picture of sand cherry, or something that says it might have red flowers
