Congrats on a new beginning.
My son and I just finished our post foundation with concrete bases...too hard to dig down through solid rock . We'll be completely off-grid as well in a 16x32 with double lofts, and an 8x8 attached bathroom on the side (we decided we needed the extra room)

Thanks TraderBob....we decided to stick with 1 story. Tired of walking up and down steps. Seem every house we've had in our 30 years has been a two story lol

I hear that. My son is young, almost 13, so he still climbs like a monkey...of course he wants a firemans pole to slide down...lol.

I couldn't do this on my own, and am grateful that God blessed me with a son who doesn't fear hard work. Without him, this would all be a pipe dream.
