They call it metro zone here , and it runs concurrent with regular seasons but there are some special rules

I have shot deer in what is essentially across the street from the city I could see the sign for the grocery store and hotel from my tree stand but was 1/4 mile accross the road and into a large swamp that the urban sprawl just can't touch so there is a huge build up of deer they allow archery and muzzle loader only in this 3200 acre area that you can literally see the state capital dome from , even the county gave in and has allowed for bow hunters to hunt specific parts of county parks , you have to apply for it early to get a county park.

I am "urban trapping" trapping this year , well not exactly but it is land the city owns so it is part of the city even though it extends about 3 miles north of the city with a bike trail along the river , I applied for it months ago already , the coon sign was huge when i took a canoe trip down the back side of what is essentially a really long island in the river with a few bridges over it

no guns period , and only very specific types of traps , but I figured I would give it a try

Here Counties close to the Larger Cities have Special Season well before General Firearms Season, you can only shoot two Antlerless Deer. Where I'm hunting can use Modern Firearm. Just have to watch where we shoot.

Here in the Great Socialist State Of New York we do not have such understanding game laws. Driving through the suburbs during the Rut is taking your life in your hands. I think the animal rights people want to use condoms for population control.

I would so much like to see the video of an anti trying to put a condom on a mature buck in rut , I think you can probably add those idiots to the list of gored to death by a angry buck

my son just asked the other day how bucks crash into each other with pointed antlers without hurting each other , I explained they don't , I haven't shot a 8point or better yet that didn't have some sort of scar
my first buck ever and only one i have mounted had a very pieced ear that had healed up but left a slit that you could stick you finger through , one we shot last year had a round scar in it's side at first we thought it was a old bullet wound healed shut but I think it may have been where it lost a fight and ran off to fight another day.
