Hey I'm Getting Little Ones Out of The Way

Got another Button Buck, got all the meat we need so my Deer Season is done.Because I've been hurting so I've been going out in the evening.Today I went in the River Bottoms.

Used my .45Cal. with Maxi Balls but shot him in the Head so still not sure how the Bullets do.

Seen this Eagle nest on private property,it's the second one I've ever seen. Not real good pic.

I have never found a recipe for antlers. You have a lot of good eating there. I hunt for the freezer and prefer a nice young Doe or button Buck. I'll take a wall hanger if he wonders by but that is not my goal. You dont waste any meat with a head shot. Im a shoulder shooter. I does waste meat but I dont have to track anything. They drop on the spot.

Way to go brp. I prefer the young of the year(5-6 months old) for eating also. Like jj said I take any big ones that happen by but they don't drive my hunting. I prefer neck shots when available as they are bam flops and I don't have to drag them out of the nearest rugged ravine. I have all the meat I need but continue hunting for cousins and friends who are non hunters. Win win. Good job on the ml deer. TTT
