Just got in from helping my 11 years old son get the second deer of his life. We were setting in lawn chairs behind some lite brush. Watch 2 deer feed in frount of us for a few minutes, they knew we were there, and Dan decided to shoot one of them. End of story and deer headed for freezer.

That must be just as exciting a dropping your own ,It is becoming a lost tradition hunting with family and teaching others what has taking you your whole life to learn.Thanks for sharing and keep doing what you are doing .

Good job getting a young person interested in hunting and outdoors activities. There are not enough kids getting involved in the outdoors. They are the only hope for the future of natural resources and gun ownership. Hunters understand the relationships between the wild critters, not the anthropomorphised view of animals as little people.

Now maybe you can mentor his friends?
