There for a while just about every morning I would look out the back door and see a bunny eating apples that had dropped to the ground under the nearest apple tree. Then I would look down on the back porch and see my great hunting dog just sleeping away. Wouldn't be no more then 20 feet away.

Big Rockpile,that picture reminds me of my Father inlaws squirrel dog.Looked out the kitchen window one day,an the dog was asleep in the dog house, and a squirrel was on top of the dog house cutting a hickory nut.

My FIL never bragged on his good squirrel dog anymore.Too Afraid someone would bring up the squirrel on the dog house story. Great Hunter - The Great Outdoors
