Second one this year, wish it was a hognose

Here is what we are starting to find around here. Do not know why, but this year, have found two so far. The first was waayyy too close for comfort, and is no longer with us, but this one was in the road, so let him go in a wooded area.

Did not strike until he was pushed pretty far with a stick. Appeared to be close to shedding, too....

Forgot to mention, this is a copperhead.

I am with you on copperheads. Pretty mean. Certain ones I will let pass, a rattle snake before a copperhead and if they scare me, nothing passes.

Instead of captioning with "that IS a copperhead", around here it would have said "WAS a copperhead". The copperhead is the only snake that gets no pass from me....They are just too sneaky and provide little or no warning. They also happen to be the only poisonous snake to bite me so it's a little personal.

I agree with OkieD the caption should have been "WAS".
With the wife super afraid of those type of crawly things I couldn't even think of what she'd do see'in one of those........ heck it takes her 15-20 minutes to calm down from seeing a foot long garder snake.

It's not like they chase you down and bite you.
