Don't figure!!!!

So all last week and even earlier this past week temps in the 70s and 80s, lows in the 50s, bright blue skies, weather you just couldn't ask for any better - specially for March..........
Trout season opens here in NYS tomorrow (Sunday) - temp right now 30 degrees 1-3 inches of snow predicted for today, wind increasing, rain/snow for overnight, clearing later Sun.

And I can't find a darn worm in my garden to save my butt!

And people wonder about April Fools Day!

And that is why you build a big compost pile. It is nearly always full of worms and night crawlers.

No compost pile here - I sheet compost, it all goes into the garden and the worms seem to enjoy it better that way; no heat. During that stint of summer we had the last couple of weeks I turned over part of the garden and had tons of well 3-20 worms per shovelfull, but yesterday none, nada......
Anyway, did find 3 worms this AM (real early) and walked down to the stream on the property and drowned them. Got nothing, but wet! Temp outside 34 degrees, sprinkling, stream temp ? real cold to the touch.
Oh well, there is always tomorrow............. and the day(s) after that, etc.
