Big Gun

Shot my Good Son's 500 S&W Magnum today; just used one hand to hold and fire it; piece of cake. Heavy gun, loud report, serious buck, and $5 a pop to shoot it; I'll stay with my Ruger Blackhawks .45 LC, or my S&W .44 Magnum for hunting, and my NAA .22 magnum for CCW.

Too Lite for CCW I know not the norm but seen a Guy shot in the Head with .38 and not put him down. I like at least .357.

I'd like to shoot one of those 500s but yeah, they are expensive to feed

Like always: tending my animals, trapping foxes, playing the blues, and shooting deer (9 last season, group hunting, a new high for me).

You can load powder puff loads for that gun and shoot all day. Some trail boss powder and a .500 or .505 lead round ball crimped in the end of the shell .... Roll the ball in Lee Alox and let dry. it's like shooting a .38 wadcutter. Then it's only about 10 cents a round if you mould your own ball......
