Hide curing/tanning

We run Belted Galloway cattle and have our first one being butchered at the end of February. They have very unique hides and we want to preserve them when processed and have them cured/tanned with hair on to be used as rugs, wall hangings or something else.

Does anyone know of someone in the Southern Tier of NY area that offers these services?

Thank you in advance for any responses.

Bruce

Will you be able to get the hide back?????
Why I ask is any of the slaughterhouses I've ever used kept the hide as part of the fee for butchering, etc..........
As to tanning it, maybe check with a taxidermist if the trapper's assoc doesn't offer anything?
