Need information from deer expert/biologist?

This is a question that I think that I know the answer for already, but must ask.
As I have posted, I have this very large set of deer antlers (whitetail) that I got here in Okla. but don't know the original source of the antlers. Thought to be Oklahoma, but I don't know. I am wondering if there might be a way that the antlers could be tested in some way and be able to tell if they may have come from Okla. (something like a DNA test? Maybe the food source would show up by the minerals in the antlers, etc. I know I am grabbing at straws, but it is all I have. If it did orignated in Okla, it could be in the top 5 maybe in the state. Sure would like to know. You Okies around Claremore, I would appreciate you letting me know when the Outdoor show is there or around Tulsa, I would like totake it to be rescored and see if there is a way. Thanks for any input that is helpful or just a discussion. By the way, where is rock?

I'm guessing that your only chance would be to back track and find the person who killed the buck.

Who did you get them from? Where did they get them from? If you can get the general area, you could ask around. Also you could check with your state and find out who bought hunting license in that area. Some of those hunters are bound to have at least heard about the deer and the horns if they are well above average size for that area. Also you could ask around on hunting forums with hunters from that area.Perhaps post some pictures of the horns on those forums to see if anyone recognizes them.just my 2

Eddie, you are right, but I think as well as the taxidermist that the horns are more than likely from the 20's to 1930's and I would think the history would difficult to trace. I am familar with the are where I got them as I am only 20 miles from where I got them. Just a small flea market that someone came to with the horns.
