I take Loppers cut the Head,Feet and Non Meat part of Tail off. Take knife cut the skin lose where it connects to the Shell, split along Legs,Neck and Tail, take Pliers pull and work Skin off with help of knife.Take Loppers cut Legs,Neck and Tail lose where they connect.Cut the Anus out of the Tail and Windpipe out of Neck.Clean up.

Roll in Flour and Fry.

Some take time getting extra but I don't fool with it.

I have a hard time believing any turtle big enough to eat is young. If you knew how many yrs it takes to reach any size you might look for something else to eat...

Never did it myself, but this brings back memories of my dad and his best friend and their snappin' turtle soup parties!! I remember fish knives and plier/cutters!

Well, I suppose this turtle has passed beyond use, but the feet are considered essential for good turtle soup. If you're gonna eat these guys, it might help your karma to not waste them.
