our early rabbit season

Fri. our early season opened. so far iv`e had the hounds out twice a day & have Sun. to go. fri.& sat. we killed 6. had some good runs & a lot of fun.

Good going! I just aquired another beagle that is suppose to already be running rabbits. I hope so cause I have another beagle that needs trainning. Hopefully this rabbit season I will get to hunt a lot. Plan on taking my kids with me as they have never been rabbit hunting before.

Sounds like a blast. I miss running beagles and rabbit hunting. Got invited last week though to a beagle/rabbiy hunting club/camp that sounds like fun. Our rabbits here smartened up and live in town or around the city limits more then in the country now. Last time we were kicking brush for rabbits they wouldnt come out of the brushpiles. You could see and hear them in there.

yea its a blast, my kids hunt with me oldest is 20, then i have a 5yr.old & an 8 year old. they all have hundreds of miles following the hounds . i dont jump rabbits, if the dogs cant do it they cant live here.
