Took Mom For A Boat Ride

I loaded my Little 12 foot Jon up.My wife asked if I was going fishing ? Yelp.Do you want to go? No I'll just do things around the house.Ok.

So I'm getting stuff together.She comes out.Where you going? Pomme De Terre.Do you want to go? I don't know.Well if you do tell me and I'll get stuff for you.Yea I guess.We're going to be just using Lures,you know casting reeling back in.Oh! So no setting and relaxing? No.I guess.

We get over there she is having a heck of time casting,even managed to get about 20 foot in a tree.

Wasn't catching anything,she decided next time Minnows and Worms and maybe set out Trotlines.Got back to the Pickup,loaded up came home.She is ready to go again but with Bait.

Well truth she does weighs little more than me.She said her Backside was getting wet and there was little water in the Boat Got to looking couldn't really find where the water was coming in.Then she pointed out where I had drilled couple holes to mount something,seems the water was pushing up there.

Its a Good Old Boat one time I had it way over loaded.Had me,her,three kids and all our camping stuff,going against the current on a river.

Oh we have both been losing weight.

Calling each udder black...pickinatcha....been there and done same..same..hadda 10' johnboat..onna sem liddl ones that the xmarts sold 30 yrs. ago..about 190lb. load cap...550 lbs. people+battery,trolling mtr.,tackle boxes,cooler,..etc..kept all 3 ov us frum dozin...

I'm known for over loading.Sunk a 10 footer.But one time had 10 Big People in my 18 footer because of my stupid BIL inviting everyone.

Trucks always load them to where the Tires are still up and nothing dragging.I had 13,000 on a 3/4 Ton loaded with Pulp Wood.

My Dad had an old '50 Chevy,went to the Stave Mill,they told him he could have all the wood he could load on it for a $1.:banana02: Well Dad had Stock Racks on it,he rounded it up.Went to pull out,couldn't go They looked his Bumper was on the ground

I use to drive Trash Truck for Springfield.They started weighing all the Trucks going into the Landfill,my Trucks always weighed 100,000+.
