possum or raccoon

I found the tracks in my driveway last night and can't remember (from back when I was young) what type of critter made them.
Anyone ?

Come now,arcticcow
I know it gets nice up there in your neck of the woods. I've talked to many people that have lived there.

denaliguide, it was in the teens the night the coon was hanging around.

I have seen them scuttling around in LATE Winter, say Feb or March, but this behaviour strikes me as odd, unless your in a place where they are not forced into a semi-hibrination stupor? What state?

They don't really Hibernate. They will hole up while its really Bad,bunch of them will get in a hollow Tree or hole in the ground just stay warm and wait it out.Soon as it clears they will be out looking for something to eat.

Yep,coon, but if my eyes aren't playing tricks, the very top right picture is a gray fox or real small dog.

denaliguide,
I live in Georgia. But right now, this year we are having an unusual cold spell. I have three 300gal. water tanks I use in the summer when needed, I've never seen them freeze untill this past week. And yes they are full.

Yep coon, hard to tell the size. If its still legal there you could trap him. $5 hide and some prime BBQing meat. Box/cage traps arent hard to make if you dont want to use a foothold or conibear.
