Saturday the man checked his traps and had a 25 lb male bobcat.

That's my stepson and DD3 in the pic as well. The next day he got a 20 lber in the same exact set. This one had much better spots on it. It's in his right hand

Pretty common to catch more than one
in the same set. Often male, then female.
I've caught 6 or 7 in a row. Stick with
that set!
Ain't they purdy?!!

Great catch!!! (A dozen or so more and he'll have caught enough to make you a nice coat; keep him at it!)

The Minnesota DNR allows us to trap bobcats here, but in all of the years I've trapped and walked the bush here I've never so much as seen a bobcat track; I'm out walking and looking for sign everyday in winter; unless the local bobcat population can fly, they must leave tracks, if they're here.

I'm picking up a a redfox every few days along my wee trapline, but so far, no coyotes, and of a certain, no bobcats. Fisher seem to be quite plentiful, now that the season is long over.

There have been several people get bobcats this year. We live right by a lake and there are several bobcats around here....more than anyone thinks. Yesterday we went and checked the traps(caught one itty bitty possum) and saw an otter playing in the lake right where Son's Creek runs into the lake. I had never seen one there it was so neat! I love living this close to the water
