Deer kill down 29%

I guess I'm lucky to have gotten one!

The DNR says Wisconsin 2009 deer gun kill was down 29% from last year.

unlucky one

One of the unlucky ones, hunted all nine days and never seen a deer. good part is I trapped through the deer season and added very good numbers to the catch. Trapper

I got 2 days left to fill my tag. I've been passing up doe's and small bucklings. I guess since it's the end of deer season I'll just have to take the next one I see.

Yep, we had a slow gun season here too. One buck for 4 hunters. With all the bow hunting we do here on the hill, there was no way we were going to shoot the few anterless deer we did see.

Good thing the dnr finally decided to drop the idea of a 16 day gun season next year.
Being active in Wis Bowhunters Association, our voice might have been considered. We've been against it from the start.

Anyone who Bowhunts in the state of Wisconsin should consider becoming a member. They are your strongest voice as a bowhunter. Everyone on the same page makes all the difference in the world.

I nailed a 10 point buck today. Got him with my wifes minivan. If your not getting any deer your not driving fast enough.
