Picture of my dad's old S&W .357

This is one of my dad's guns that I inherited when he passed.
A model 28-2 with a little holster burn but still in pretty nice shape.

That's a beautiful revolver. There's nothing more comforting than the heft of a S&W N-frame in your hand!

A well kept up revolver; it' nice to have something so personal from one's Father.

My own Father passed when I was but 15, but we do have the old Damascus double-barreled 12 ga. he carried hunting for much of his life. It's been in the family for well over 80 years now, and my own son plans to hand it down to one of his sons. (It is still shootable, but as did my Father before me, I limit the loads to low-brass field loads.)

Yeah, those dmascus barrels on those old guns don't take a lot of pressure do they?
We have one hanging above the gun cabinet that has shorter barrels than it started life with.
I've got several of my dads guns, every one a treasure.

I have three of my dad's old guns. He's still alive, thankfully, but he divided the guns up between my brother and me several years ago. Those are my "not-for-sale-at-any-price" guns.

Love that Smith, Cornhusker.
