Crabbing trip ruined by an alligator

We went to the marsh to catch some crabs and had our trip ruined by a seven foot alligator. My daughter got some of the action on video with her phone.

Does he have aholt of a ring or pot, or do you have bait on a string to catch them one at a time?

We went crabbing in Washington a few years back, the most excitement in the little harbor was a dead elk cow floating around the docks one day. Oh, and seals would steal the bait from our rings. We bought some little boxes for the bait, so the seals either tore the rubber bands off and stole the bait, or stole the boxes to work on in their spare time. Then they would stick their heads up and watch you to know when you rebaited.

In the video he had a hold of a leg quarter on a string. He actually tore up one of my ring nets. I had 4 strings and 2 rings. when he grabbed the ring I realized what he was and sent the kids up the bank. Daughter got the video as I was pulling in the third string.
