Nice! We had a flock of around 15 that wouldn't get out of the road the other morning on the way out. They just kept walking down the road....

seen about twenty crossing a bike trail last night 4-5 at a time and a big buck on our return trip.I got him to stop on a dead run after he spoted me and the kids, I can do some decent deer grunts and snorts with out a call, he was one side of the trail to the other almost like a jack rabbit bonding away I gave a few grunts and a snort and he stoped dead wish I had a rifle at the time.

Up until about 15 or 20 years ago around here, most folks had never seen a wild turkey, but some were stocked about that time and now they are everywhere.A couple years ago,the crows were feasting on my peanuts and some small onions they were pulling up but not eating.Turned out it won't the crows, but the turkeys was doing the eating and pulling up.

Had one fly in front of my motorcycle a few weeks back. They look a whole lot bigger when there almost close enough to touch, especially with their wings spread. Almost needed a pair of fresh skivies after that.

Great pic! I've been hearing them out in the tree line and have seen a few flocks here & there. What a great comeback story. Spent a lot of time in the woods as a kid & never saw one. Now, seems they are all over the place.

That's kinda how it is here. Just in the last 20 years or so they've been showing up, and now they are pretty common.

They're all over the place up here.

I had one fly out of the ditch and hit the windshield of the truck. I was going about 55 MPH and when I looked into the rear view mirror, all I saw were feathers!

We've got them everywhere in our small rural town too. Here are a couple of pictures I took this spring in our yard:

No photos but...

At the moment, sitting here in-between typing and staring out the window I can see 4 turkeys in my backyard pickin at the seed heads of something or other. Earlier this AM there was a doe and her 2 fawns slipping through the yard. Even saw a couple of bucks late yesterday....
Probably the reason I don't hunt! I mean what sport would it be if'n I can shoot them critters without even gettin out of my chair.....
Well, I guess I'd have to get up to at least open up the window before pullin the trigger......

well, i know spring is 6 months off, but holy buckets!! im itchin to turkey hunt now! nothing is as good as homemade turkey strips, mashed tators and gravy!! ok, i know, i could hunt during the fall, but it just isnt a challenge here. they are all over in the fall. but spring, now spring you have to call them in, unless you just get lucky and walk up on one. i have only hunted 3 yrs, and shot 2 toms, but it is very exciting, more than i thought it would be. this year, i went by myself!! shot him, and then had to try to carry him back to the truck, which was over a mile away. let me tell you, that was alot harder than my dh made it look!
