Silvers are running good here in Alaska. So good they upped the limit to 3 here in the valley. Most of the other salmon here are already spawned out. The freezer is starting to fill up.

Make sure both you and the indians leave enough in the river to spawn. No spawn = no salmon on next run for this year group.

When I lived in Edmonds back in the 90's there was one year when they shut down all fishing for silvers, including the Indians. The next time that year group of salmon were due there were record amounts of silvers to be caught. AMAZING!!!!

Yucca that may be the case with silvers or kings but the pinks here only run every 2 years and this is the biggest run in 50 years. You are right about the indians though just heard they dumped a truck load they couldnt sell on the bank. With jobs the way they are im sure they could have filled some needy bellies.
