Thumbs up possum kingdom

caught this little possum living under my house / crawl-space.
drove him 20 miles to a nice lake and released back into wild.
my birds spotted him first,
were hissing at it so i looked and saw this little guy
run out from under my grill cover and into the hole under house.
so i stuck some canned mackerel in a sock and hung from roof of trap.
next morning - bingo.
he's young- momma can't be too far
so re-setting trap tonight.

You should have shot it! That would have been much more humane that releasing him into a new territory where he will have to fight to find a new home, most likely getting injured and dieing of infection or getting ripped apart by another predator!

As harsh as it might sound to some, you are correct.

40 miles, Average Pick up @ 10 MPG = 4 gallons @ $2.50 a gallon = $10 bucks to move him,,,,,, I dont know if I would have shot him either, But would not have driven 40 mile RT to release.....
You are way kinder than I am! Good for you,,, +1 Karma point!
