Smile Hi-Standard Sport King followed me home.

I am usually looking at the Chickens here in the forum. But I also have an interest in firearms,
Yesterday I drove by Cabelas and had to stop in just to take a quick peek.
I wound up walking out with this Hi-Standard following me home,
It came with two barrels, 2 mags and original paperwork on the gun, But no box, I believe it's from about 1955 according to the ser# and is in 98% condition.
I havent had the chance to shoot it yet, I live in a suburban setting and cant get away with any gunfire, So I will have to sweat it out till next week or weekend.

Nice! I have to be very careful around handguns, if I pick them up and hold them a bit, they often follow me home. Kind of like a stray dog, you pet it and show attention to it, and the next thing you know it's yours. I make a habit of standing at the handgun counter with my hands behind my back.

SO, does your wife let you keep ALL of 'em that follow you home? I'm afraid mine might call the gun- catcher to come take it to the pound....

i have been looking at some handguns , i was considering going to a gun show and seeing if anyone would trade me an (AK that i realy don't ever use any more has been 5 years since i put a round thru it) for what i am looking for

am i crazy ?
i would love to have the cash to buy what i am looking for outright but that's not going to happen any time soon

i am not talking to dealers by the way they by thier nature to stay making mony don't give full value to trades. and they have o do all that messy paper stuff

Green country pete,,,,
Just about any AK will get 600+ dollars on www.gunbroker.com these days,
Dont sell yourself short!!!!

I got a chance to get the Hi-Standard out to the range and it runs great with the pencil barrel,,,, But not with the bull barrel.
Cant figure out why yet.
Need to get back out to the range when it's a bit warmer!
Peter.
