Fat doe

We have a good supply of deer and what we have always seem to be nice and fat. Our genetics or mineral deficiencies just never seems to let the deer reach the trophy class. I am not grumbling as I like to put a lot of cubed venison in the freezer. This morning was another fruitful hunt. As you can see these deer put the fat on.

Nice going. Hard to eat those antlers, anyway.

Nice harvest there agmantoo. We have the same problem around here. The wildlife biologist claim we have an out of balance doe to buck ratio the reason for lack of trophies. They upped our deer limit to 6 per year but only 2 of them can be a buck. They're trying to get us to harvest more doe's to take off the pressure on the bucks.
