Buck down
I killed this deer Sunday on a special rifle hunt.

Buck down - The Great Outdoors

I shot it with a 243.

I too took a buck, an 8-pointer, this past Saturday, on the opener. Haven't taken a photo yet. I have a pile of antlerless tags, but haven't seen anything except the one buck.

Youth hunt only this coming weekend, then the gun season starts the next weekend. My kid killed a 158 P&Y scored 10 pt. with his bow last weekend.

Your buck is a good 'un. I'd be very pleased to see him in my woods on opening morning.

My Tammy hunts also but our seasondoesn't open untill the Monday before Thanksgiving. Very nice buck. Sam

A special hunt is when you put in for a hunt and draw a permit. This one was at Hatchie Bottom Refuge in Brownsville,Tn.
