Aftermarket side mount for scope

One of my uncles came by a Mossberg Model 46B .22LR many years ago. It was passed down generation to generation until it ended up in my possession back in the 80s. The story goes that the rifle was used for target practice by the military prior to WWII. Great bolt action rifle with a variety of target sights. That said, the target sights aren't the greatest for small game hunting, especially with my eyesight not being as sharp as it once was.

One of the local sporting goods store had a nice Marlin on sale this weekend for ~$200. Thought of retiring the Mossberg but couldn't get passed spending the money when I had a perfectly good rifle. Started figuring $200 was better than the cost of having a scope mounted...the gunsmith in town quoted me a bloody fortune for the work not including a scope. In a flash of brillance, I have them on occasion, I did a search an found a side mount for a scope that bolts into the existing holes on the receiver. Cool! I have a similiar mount from B-Square that I use for my shotgun which works out well,

I have a scope that I picked up many years ago at a swap meet. The side mount was $25 with shipping. Can't wait. Anyone else using a similiar set up?
