When is your fishing season opener?

In Minnesota, the opener for large gamefish (walleye, northern pike, etc) is this Saturday!

Our season opens the first Sat in May for most species, and then closes the first of March.

My lake is still quite hard. We hauled 6000 pounds of freight across it just last weekend. If I would have had enough to justify the fuel, I would have taken more today. Need to find a 10" auger for next winter.

Hopefully, it will be open for memorial day. I will spend most of this summer building my cabin. When I get to take a break, I will fish.

Year-round fishing here, too.

'Course, we also have year-round bugs here. Gotta take the bad with the good, I guess.
