Saw deer in my backyard today.

This morning I walked over to the edge of my back yard garden area and looked down the hill toward the creek and seen a big old doe feeding around. She didn't see me so I stood around and watched her for a long time. All that time I was wondering if she had any fawns around anywhere. Kept looking and looking down into the valley but couldn't see nothing but her. Then all of a sudden I caught a motion to my right in some tall brush and there was a fawn feeding around. Then all of a sudden about half the distance from the fawn to me I noticed another fawn just standing there a few feet from me and watching me. All this time that little bitty thing was watching me like an injun. And here I thought I was being sneaky! Ha-Ha!

After the big doe and the other fawn walked into heavy brush, I slowly walked away while the nearest fawn was still watching me.

This morning I was eating breakfast and looked out the window and saw three does and a fawn in my back yard about 30 yards from the window. They were eating the brush around a burn pile. They took their time and eat enough to get a real good look at them (about 5 muinets). Then they moseyed across the yard and went into the woods. This is a regular event around here. I even had two bull elk that came across my back yard and went into the woods to get water.
