Once Again Having Fun

Decide to go this evening where I seen all the Deer and Turkey yesterday.well get to the clearing,decidede to take a peek.

There is a Doe and Fawn out there.Ok what to do? I decide to go along a ditch,see if I can get close to them.Well I come up out of the ditch and I'm 20 yards from them.But I can't find a hole to shoot through,if I could take one more step it would be fine.But they bust me and take off.

I decided to go on down and set up where the Deer came in the day before.Walking along and kick up a Fawn.

Get on down find a low hanging tree with some Buckbrush under it.I cut out a hole and set down.Look across from me and seen something flicker.Thought there is a Deer laying there.I set watching,it was a Doe,she comes out 40 yards.I think 10 yards closer I'll stick her.Sat there an hour and she never came any closer.Just walked of the other way.

Little bit later had a Deer deeper in the brush bust me.I don't know how but it did.

I'm setting there.Now even though we get two Turkey Tags.My wife says not to waste a $15 Arrow on no Turkey.What comes 10 yards from me but a flock of Turkeys.And to add insult to injury,they fly into the tree above my Head,feathers and leaves falling all over me.

Well getting pertty close to dark,couple Fawns come out playing all around me.You think Mama would be around.But no show.

Well two times in this spot got to stay away for awhile.

Good thing I'm not seeing that tender meat or I would be having a BBQ with friends over.

I had fun today too! Hunted with the bow for about 3 hours when just before closing a medium size 8 pointer came within 15 yards. I was able to draw on him, but my old eyes couldn't pick up the light gathering pin through the peep sight to save my soul so...... I let back down and let him walk. Making so, so shots isn't worth it...I prefer morning hunting for that very reason. Once it gets light the better the sights get. That would of been tender viddles though!
