As we near election time the gun controllers are masquerading under the name American Hunters and Shooter Association as a sensible gun control organization to temper the "radical" NRA stance on gun restrictions. The board of directors on this group reads like a who's who on gun control. Our paper today published an article on the decline of U.S. hunters which was accurate enough until buried in the middle of the 2/3 page article, the American Hunters and Shooters Association was given accolades by the press for it's "common sense" approach to gun control. Make no mistake, this is a subversive organization who wishes to gain a stronger foothold in eroding our right to own guns. So when your local paper shows candidates claiming they are against gun control and are supported by AHSA, they are wolves in sheep's clothing. I am now writing a letter to our editor exposing this group for what it really is.

I read that article and said hey, what's this? A new gun rights group? Then I got to the part about being for sensible gun control measures and giving up some rights. That got me researching and I found Brady all over the place. It wasn't an article, it was an ad. Worthless newspapers.

I'll stick with the hard line NRA that makes people mad with their policy of no tolerance for giving up any rights.

Thanks for the warning. They are deceivers. Stabbing you in the back while telling you face to face they are on your side. Give them an inch and guns are history. GUNS DON'T NEED CONTROLLING, ITS THE CRIMINALS THAT NEED CONTROLLING. CONTROL THEM AND CRIMES USING GUNS ARE HISTORY. HOW COMPLICATED IS THAT?

Never once when a drunkdriver (criminal) runs into crowd of people, have I ever heard anyone blame the car. (gun) But yet they are doing just that!

I think we should fight fire with fire and form the American Gun Control Coalition. Then we can send articles to the paper that say we are only in favor of law enforcement actually enforcing existing laws instead of creating new bans or bringing back laws based on how scary a gun looks.

I am a life member of NAHC and have just re-uped my NRA membership. I don't think we should give up a dang thing! The gun grabbers are just getting worse and hunting is not being passed on like it use to be. We all need to take a kid hunting and fishing so that our heritage carries on.
