Ruger single-six price?

In our weekly sales paper there is a Ruger single-six with 2 cylinders, one for.22 Long Rifle and one for 22 mag. This is new in the box and they are asking $285.00 for it. Is this fair or out of line?

Thanks for any input or help.

Sounds like a good deal, especially if it is new in the box. Check www.Gunbroker.com to see what they're going for.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I bought my son a stainless steel model about 20 years ago and at the time I paid around $225...

I bought one 6 years ago and it cost me around $200. Since ythe price has gone up since then it will be at the top of the line of prices but if it is in good shape then you will not be burned on the deal.

Good price. Best I have seen lately is right at the $300 mark, and that was used and not in the best condition.

Wow, thanks for the education. Stupid is as stupid does. When I called to let them know I would like to take a look at the gun, it was I'm sorry it is already sold. I learned a good lesson today. Thanks for the advice and help.

I'm kicking myself good for this one.

My Guns & Ammo 2007 catalog lists them for $399-$675. Sounds like a good price to me.

You did miss a great deal, sorry. I have used on my trapline a stainless single six for about 15 years and can tell you its a dependable tool that has never failed me even with the trapline abuse. I paid $220 for the gun new at that time with no regrets. Trapper
