I'm BAAAAAaaaaack!

I don't think anyone knew I was even gone for almost a month and a half. Computer got hit by lightning again. Second time in two years. Took it in to get fixed and they told me it would cost almost as much as a new one and wouldn't be guarenteed to last very long. So I decided to just wait till after Christmas and see if I had any money left to buy a new one. I did!

Well I hope everyone got their tags filled and freezer full. I got two in my freezer but I only harvested one little 3 pointer. My BIL gave me nice size 8 pointer. He likes to hunt but he doesn't like venison meat.

Meanwhile I haven't gotten to hunt hardly at all. My electrical business has picked up and I have been working my bunns off for the last several weeks and it don't look like it's gonna slow down for another 2 or 3 weeks at least. But I'm still dreaming of squirrel hunting and fishing. I can always dream about it at least.

Bought me a gun rack to mount on my mountain bike a couple of weeks ago but haven't had a chance to install it yet. Been dreaming of cruising the dirt roads in the game reserves around here and try harvesting a few squirrels. I have one month of squirrel season left. January! Been thinking of buying one of those high speed pellet rifles to use for squirrel hunting. Carry it on my bike and if I see a squirrel, just hop off the bike, break open the barrel and load it. Then shoot! Collect my squirrel and hop back on my bike and cruise on down the road. That's how it goes in my dream anyway!

Glad to be back with you guys and gals.

Glad to see you back r.h.! What kind of new computer? I had one that was damaged by lightening too. I now have power-surge devices. I was lucky enough to have my Dell computer rebuilt by a local computer guru, & so now I have a clone!

Welcome back!!!

Good deal on the work picking up. That's always a plus.

Did you end up cutting and wrapping a lot of deer? Last I read you were back to cutting for a bit.

I bought another Compaq. The last one I had was a Emachine. The one before the Emachine was a Compaq. Both pc that was hit by lightning was hooked up to a surge arrestor. The people at the repair shop told me that surge arrestors are a big joke for sensitive equipment such as computers. They just don't work fast enough.

Luckily I haven't had anything very important stored on either pc that was hit by lightning. So no big loss as far as any info. on my part. Now my wife is another story!

Not really! Enough to make ends meet for the down time I had those few weeks. But seemed as soon as I cut the last deer up, phone calls started coming in for electrical work. I had one guy call and said he needed an old house rewired so I accepted it. As soon as I did a couple of rough-in's that I had been waiting on for ever called and said they were ready for trim outs. All of a sudden I was needed in 3 different places at once! Which way do I go!

I got one trim out finished, and about 95 percent on the rewire rough-in. One more trim out to finish and now have another new house to rough in, but it want be ready for another week or two.

So I'm gonna be busy for most of January. Hope it don't get too cold!
