Stevens .223 (savage)

Well the other night I bought that savage .17 HMR.. And I was as thrilled as can be... Then tonight we went over to the new Sportsman's Warehouse (kept thinking it was Cabelas all week) but anyhow We went up there and instead of coming home with the .17 rem or a 10/22 we planned on buying, I bought a .223 Sweet gun... black synthetic stock, nice light weight gun... Cant wait til the dang waiting period is up..
Between the 22/250, and nw the 223 and .17 I should be set for the coyotes

Congrats, always liked the .233. Yes you should be set.
Have a Mini 14 and a NEF shingle shot, in .233.
Mini has a 30 rd clip, you forget where you are on the load. "Did I shoot 23 or 28 rounds, Make my day".
Fast, flat, cheap to shoot.
Makes you wonder why more people don't go to this, guess not as sexy as a 22/250, .17 etc.

Thumbs up

The Stevens M200 is a very nice rifle for the money. I gave about $260 plus transfer for mine and am well pleased. It shoots good and functions well. I use the .223 for coyotes and such although now we can use it for deer in TN. I reload my .223 varmint rounds with Speer TNT bullets as they are explosive and less prone to richochets. They certainly work well on coyotes.

I have reloaded some deer capable rounds with a 60g Nosler partition but haven't shot a deer with that load yet. I will try it before the end of the season. TnTnTn

I have the same rifle

The russian Wolfe Loads seem to work well for me.. I believe they are a 62 grain. It is a nail driver, Put a new Bushnell Legend 4x12x40 on it to line it up..
Almost as much for the scope as the gun is worth.

LOL Ya We looked at a few scopes and the price for the scope is as much or more than the gun LOL.. But good optics are just as important as the gun LOL..
I havent decided yet on which one I like.. we didnt have much time to look at them all..
