Shelled corn

I have always wondered do you think deer can smell shelled corn from distances?
Or do they just stumble across it and memorize it location???
I realize their smelling capabilities are outstanding but to my nose shelled corn doesn't have an odor....What are your thoughts?? Thanks,,,Tennessee John

I use shelled corn in my feeder & I can assure you that they always find it after I fill it.

I am sure they can smell it, because I just put out 50 lbs over 4 acres of field and woods. By tomorrow it will be all gone. I threw it into brush, leaves, grass, slash, and on bare ground.
