He has a point,where has all the woodsmans pals gone to?? I have never seen one used for sale.I have one and its great,but I wonder where they all have gone? I've also never seen anybody else around here own one.

I've often seen them for sell in stores and catalogs, but I have never boughten one myself. Are they very handy to have around camp. I use to have a machete, but I think the handles broke on it and I ended up giving it away to one of my nephews.

I use a bowie knife as a camp tool.14 inch blade.

Ive seen these before but theres NO WAY I'd pay $85 for one. It cant do anything a GOOD machete cant do for a LOT less money

nice. i never saw one and i live in PA. $85 is a bit pricey.

They are worth the $85.If you want the best,you must pay for the best.They are heavy duty and come in handy.IMO they are much better than a machete.

i seen a new one for sale at a gunshow...glad i seen it before i ordered one....its better than what a machette is or other products like it are....BUT...it is still just not what i want.......i have used a tool called a sandvick ...or a swedish brush axe alot....well i know this thing will do circles around a woodsman pal.....it was a tool of north people in europe....how much better can you get than that....you can put replacement blades in it...the one thing it wont do it split a large piece of wood.....try one out...i bought one back in summer and showed it to some co-workers and friends....well i had to put a order off to get all of them one ....one guy even bought 2...just my 2 cents

for you people in pacific northwest...this thing will eat vinemaple like nothing....i have hacked my way through miles of the stuff with this tool.

moonwolf...you ever have to replace a blade in yours yet??? one paticular year all the places i had to work was choked full of this vinemaple and doghair reprod.....all i done was hack to survey cut lines.i mean for hours evryday.....i never had to replace blade that year.

I did once replace the blade. It broke when I swung it and a rock was behind the brush. The blades were locally easy to find at Canadian Tire store. The blades cost about $5 if I remember.

could someone post a top view of how the blade attaches? i never saw one of these either and i like it.
