Nice V of Geese headed South

The past week has been filled with the sound of honking and beating wings....we are elevated from China Lake so after a snack at the lake the geese are only about tree top high when they get to our place....
We could really fill the freezer if we wanted to

This last V was quite large.....my border collie was jumping at the sky for all she was worth and GSP Pup was on point Point or Chase?

Have you ever noticed that one side of the V is longer then the other? Do you know why that is?

Cause there are more geese on that side!

I heard geese honking the other morning when I was walking home from work at 6:30 am. It was quite overcast & they were above the clouds, but they were heading North.
