Having Grouse for Dinner...courtesy of my doggie

My littlest westie went for a walk with me, and near the house where there is a clump of trees I've been seeing grouse the last couple weeks. She got lucky today sneaking up on this one, grabbed it by the head and killed it instantly. After that she proudly walked up the deck to the back door to offer it for dinner! she looks happy too!

after skinning it and checking the crop contents, the grouse was feeding on mostly fresh clover:

Yummm, grouse is good eats. I like to take the breast and lay bacon over it and then a big thick orange slice over that. A toothpic holds the orange slice.

Get that dog a treat!!!
