How to protect against wild turkey damage

So I went out into my garden this morning and found all the pea and lettuce seedlings gone...as if to add insult to injury there was a humongous turkey footprint in the middle of the lettuce bed. Clearly they like little baby seedlings. My question is are they going to trash the garden all the time or will they leave the mature plants alone? They haven't bothered my landscaping at all.

OUCH! Sorry they stole your groceries! Can you make a hoop tunnel over the lettuce bed? Then cover it with chicken wire and put an old sheet over it at nite. That will keep turkeys and deer and hopefully rabbits out. You will need to close the ends as well.

12 guage and a deepfrier. Shoot it and fry it, no more problems.

Since you are feeding the Turkey flock, it only seems fair that they feed you. Try a quiet .22 long rifle hollow point where the neck joins the body. Enjoy the bounty....Glen
