county fair

So we entered our garlic in the fair, purple hardneck. We won best of class, heh king of the produce.

Thanks, we have been working on it for about eight years. Decided through trial and error that the early spring planting works best for us.

well...we save the best and largest back for seed next year. Pretty much all garlic that survives cold storage through the winter gets planted in the spring. I have some that have remained in good enough shape to eat even now at 14 months old, I'm going to go ahead and plant those bulbs this month.
