Tree Seeds With No Dormancy, Can I Start Them Now?

some tree seeds don't need any dormancy and you can sprout them right away, for instance I have a bunch of black locust seeds that I tried sprouting and they worked (i boiled them for 10 minutes then soaked them for 24 and them sprouted)!

can I grow the seedlings outside and then in a few weeks when it frosts will they be ok over winter with being so small?

OR

can I start the seedlings inside in cups and let them get a 6 month jump on next season?

thanks much

I've sprouted lots of different seedlings, though I've placed mine in smaller containers that could be protected from frost. For things like apple, I planted the seed right after eating the apple.

I let them grow over the winter protected, then graft them once they're about pencil thickness. Once they outgrow the little containers I started them in (mostly 16oz soda cups) I transplant them to 5 gallon pots. Typically I leave them in the pots for a year after grafting and plant them the following spring.

are you gonna keep them indoors all winter and put them out in the spring?

my black locusts are starting to pop out of the soil now, I'm not sure if I should bring them indoors until spring or leave them outside and hope they go "dormant" in a few weeks and not die over the winter

Yes I will keep them in doors and have watered once and I misted a couple times they are all growing ,but I think the plum might rot I noticed some mold on the seed. The passion fruit vine is a different type than I have growing now ,but it is growing very fast.
