Talking Yippie!!!! I have "bumps".....

Some of you may remember a while back I posted that I finally got to see a cabbage bloom by planting the cut off bottom of a fridge stored head that had developed roots. Paquebot tried to prepare me for failure to set seed by telling me/us that it may be self sterile. Well I enjoyed those cheery yellow blooms and on nice days set it outside on my porch for my mason bees to pollenate. Those of you that have had brassicas set seed know that after a while you can see the swelling of the fertilized seeds in the pods. Fertilization was spotty but there are definately seeds in there!

And for those following the "saga" of my love affair with Eastham Turnips a bit of garden "porn"!

When you grow your own(seeds that is) you control your ability to produce a constant supply of your favorite veggies regardless of what is going on in the seed industry. I consider food plants that seed in the second year a challenge.

What bi-annuals have any of you produced seeds and which do you consider the most difficult??

I'm one of the "those" who really doesn't have a ton of room, and a homeowner's association to prevent the adventurous, but I must have herbs, and rosemary is forever! Parsley gets these huge blooms, and then little parsley plants pop up where you least expect them!
