Fruit without trees?
I'm really wanting to be able to grow some different fruits but I don't own my own land (yet) and the landlord has forbidden any fruit trees or large bushes (i.e. blackberry, blueberry, etc.). So I'm trying to figure out what sort of plants to grow to get fruit. So far I'm thinking of strawberries (in pots), and some sort of melon (cantalope or honeydew) in the main garden area. Are there other sorts of annuals or perennials that can be grown for fruit? (I'm in Zone 7).
