i am asuming fenugreek is like dill?
I want to produce about 1 quart of dryed product for tea. More would be OK. Can any one tell me how many plants I need to do this. a close guess would help.

Same as Dill? Do you mean growing it is the same? Then yes, harvesting is a bit different though. Fenugreek is in the Bean family, so the seeds are found in the pods which must be dried first...leaves are also used.
It doesn't look the same and it doesn't taste the same and it isn't used in the same way in cooking. Medicinally the only thing the same as Dill is in the use for tummy aches.

You want a quart jar full, loose or packed?
I'd say you would need 20+ plants

Medicinally the seed is used most often.
Culinary the leaf and seed.
